Parent Management Committee

Bulimba Kindy is an affiliate Community Kindergarten of The Gowrie (QLD). The Centre is operated by a Parent Management Committee which is made up of volunteers from the parent body. They work closely with the Kindergarten Service Manager and staff in the general running of the Centre throughout the year. It is through this partnership of parents and Teachers that real work on the Centre is achieved year by year and being on the Committee can be a very rewarding experience.

But, if committee meetings aren't your cup of tea, there are many other ways to be involved at Bulimba Kindy:

Alternate Roster

There are many jobs around the Kindy, including processing library books, sewing, washing and other smaller jobs.

Parents can also be involved in their child's Kindy day either as a regular helper or less frequently where they can. We always appreciate visits from any parents who work or have interests in areas that kids love. Your help as a parent ensures that our Kindy is kept affordable and we continue to maintain a strong financial position.

Most of all, parents are powerful partners in their children's learning. For this reason we encourage parents to share ideas, thoughts and knowledge about their children and to share their time and skills in an effort to build a connected community here at Bulimba Kindy.
