Exceeding!

The National Quality Framework is a new integrated national approach to the regulation and quality assessment processes for long day care, family day care, outside school hours care, Pre-Prep and kindergarten services. In both 2012 and 2018 we were assessed against the National Quality Standards (NQS) which evaluates services in seven quality areas as well as providing an overall service assessment. We are proud to announce that our service was rated overall as 'Exceeding National Quality Standard' following both assessments. For more information on the National Quality Framework visit the Office of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Our History

Our very early beginnings were in the Church Hall on Oxford Street as a childcare centre, it operated one day a week and was free, you just had to supply your child's milk for the day.

In 1942, the School of Arts (now the library) and Bulimba State School let us pitch a tent on their land and that was the official start of the Kindy!

In the early days the Kindy only had earth toilets, until the sewage was connected in 1960. And in the 1960s kids would sit under the big tree and drink their free milk, the shed was known as the milking shed. A few things have changed over the years!
